The W.Y.S.E. Program that has been established at your high school will be dedicated to helping students, like yourself, to become involved in activities that relate to the science and technology areas.

The program will provide each of you the opportunity for some “hands on” experience through the use of the basic scientific demonstrations, various design projects and a technology-related field trip.

Olin Corporation in East Alton, IL sponsors the W.Y.S.E. Program in the Alton School system.  The program is coordinated by advisors (practicing Engineers) supplied by the Olin Corporation.  We hope to provide you with an understanding of the roles of technology and engineering in our society by relating some scientific phenomena to real world applications.

W.Y.S.E. will meet every other Thursday at your school per the attached schedule.  The student must arrange his/her own transportation home from school on the Thursday afternoons when  W.Y.S.E. meetings are held.
