Registration
Registration for next year's classes is done in January and Febuary of each year.  The Guidance Office and teachers discuss class choices with students.  A registration form is sent for parental input.

LCCC Second Semester Senior Program
Seniors in good standing who meet the program criteria may take one or two classes for college credit at the LCCC cempus during their second semester of their senior year.  These classes can be at the begining of the day or at the end, while the remainder of those school days is spent at AHS.  The students buy books, pay one third of the tuition fees, and provide their own transportation.  Classes are taught by LCCC faculty, and grades will be on a LCCC transcript.
Juniors interested in this program should discuss it with their counselor or advisor during registration in Feb.
Dual Credit Classes
Some classes at AHS are dual credit with LCCC.  The teachers of these classes and the curriculum have been approved by LCCC. Students must take a test administered by LCCC representatives to qualify for college credit on a LCCC transcript.  All students who pass the classes recieve credit on the AHS transcript.
The Physics 2 class can be awarded credit at SIUE if the students take one or more classes at SIUE after graduation.
