Tutoring
Student Center
     The Student Center operates in A 250 from 11-1 pm daily.  Students are scheduled during their half hour stufy hall opposite lunch.  Tutoring is availible in English, math, and science.  History and laguage arts availible upon request.  Tutors are AHS staff, National Honor Society student members, and SIUE students.
     The Student Center is for students who are having difficulty in a class and would like tutoring.  Attendence and work ethic are essential.  Students who do not attend or who do not use the time to work are placed back into study hall.  Students are referred to the center by teachers, parents, and staff.  Teachers receive the names of their students who are working in the Student Center.

21st Century Grant
     Tutoring is available before and after school through the 21st Century grant.  Bus transportation is available for both times. 
Before school: 
     7-7:45 AM.  English, math, reading, science, math credit   recovery availible semester 2 (7-7:45 Monday-Friday) sign up with Amanda Macias.
After school:
     3:15 - 4:15 PM. English, math, reading, science, English credit recovery
available.
semester 2 (3:15-5:15 Tuesday and Thursday) sign up with Katie Terwelp
     Recreational Enrichment 4:15-5:15
     Focus on developing social and leadership skill, cultural enrichment,
     mentoring, recreation, prevention programs, career and college exploration.
